Oh how I love this… trendy pink wedding dresses…
From a bridal consultant… I love the color pink. It seems to speak to me in the clothing store and screams my name at the craft store. Most everything I wear is a beautiful shade of pink. Pink heels, pink nails, pink blouses, pink lip gloss, pink sunglasses, pink necklaces, pink panties… Pink! Pink! Pink! I can’t seem to get enough. So of course when it came time to pick my wedding colors there was no question. I had to have pink (go figure). I had gorgeous bouquets of petal pink roses, a bedazzled pink cake with rhinestones, and tangy pink punch, but there still seemed to be some pink thing missing.
As a bridal consultant, it is our job to unpack the dresses when we get new shipments. I was unloading a few boxes of dresses one day when I saw it! The most gorgeous dress I had ever seen–a soft pale pink wedding dress! I snatched it from the box and frantically removed the plastic. I hung the dress on a hanger and marveled at its pink perfection. I caressed the delicate fabric with my hands feeling the color of the dress soak into me like warm sunshine. I immediately telephoned by husband and explained that we had to get married again so that I could wear this pink dress. With a small chuckle he gently reminded me how much I had loved my first wedding dress and how stunning it had looked on me on our wedding day even though it wasn’t pink. I agreed with him as I remembered how beautiful I had felt in my out-of-this-world-huge-puffy-over-the-top-sparkly-fabulous-wedding gown. Reassured, I thanked him and hung up the phone. Although my perfect day had come and gone someone else’s wedding day hadn’t and the pink dress would eventually have its debut. Little did I know that my crazed obsession for blush pink wedding dresses would turn out to be the hottest spring trend.
This new trend of having a little touch of rosy color to your wedding dress is sweeping through Hollywood and dazzling many fans of famous superstars. Some of the celebrities who have flaunted pink on their wedding day include Reese Witherspoon, Gwen Stefani, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, and Rachel McAdams in the movie The Vow. These women have proved, the pastel pink color has a very romantic and feminine look and feel to it. The color is quite non-traditional, but extremely modern and fashion forward. Any bride who wants to make a statement and stand out with this dainty pink color shows a great deal of maturity.
Future brides: don’t be afraid to think pink for your wedding dress! It’s bold, beautiful, and breathtaking! Just imagine: The blushing bride captures the attention of all her guests as she walks down the aisle on her wedding day. Her countenance takes everyone’s breath away; this beautiful blushing bride in her perfectly pink dress.
